Founder · Operator · Builder

Brandon Bart.

Building things that protect what people care about.

I lead companies, products, and projects from blank page to delivered. Today I'm Founder & CEO of PlumBuddy, a smart water protection platform shipping connected hardware, AI-driven workflows, and software for homes, buildings, insurers, and the plumbing trade. Before this I ran multimillion-dollar construction projects and operations for plumbing teams across the West Coast.

What I do

A builder's operator.
An operator's builder.

My career has lived in the space between strategy and the field — between investor decks and pipe layouts, between roadmaps and jobsites. That overlap is where I do my best work.

i.

Build the company.

From concept to commercial launch — product, ops, sales, marketing, partnerships, fundraising, supply chain, customer experience, and team. Translate a real-world problem into a product the trade and the customer both trust.

ii.

Run the project.

Up to seven active projects at once, scopes through $10.5M, plumbing repipes, restoration, commercial and residential renovation. Budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders — and the human coordination that makes them all line up.

iii.

Make the operation work.

Project intake, estimating support, scheduling, procurement, permitting, customer communication, closeout. Process improvements that have moved coordination efficiency, capacity, and revenue in the right direction year over year.

Currently

PlumBuddy.
Security for your water.

I founded PlumBuddy in September 2023 to give homeowners, property managers, and the plumbing trade the kind of water protection they actually want — connected shutoff valves, leak sensors, and AI-driven response workflows that work the way buildings really work, not the way a spec sheet says they should.

Person team

Hardware & software platform.

Led development across smart shutoff valves, leak sensors, sensing cables, the mobile app, PlumPortal, and the PlumConnect.AI workflow engine. Field experience translated directly into product requirements designed around fast installs, real building conditions, and trade adoption.

Go-to-market across channels.

Direct ecommerce, plumbing partners, wholesale distribution, municipal rebate programs, insurance channels, multifamily pilots, and commercial opportunities — built on Shopify, HubSpot, Meta Ads, and Google Ads infrastructure.

Partnerships that move the trade.

Negotiated and advanced relationships with Farmers Insurance, Comparion Insurance, Beagle Services, Mesher Plumbing Supply, and other installer, wholesale, and insurance-channel partners.

Fundraising & investor relations.

Raised $500K and own the investor relationship — pitch materials, financial models, due diligence, and the strategic updates that keep capital aligned with what's actually being built.

Supply chain & ops.

Sourcing, vendor coordination, packaging, fulfillment planning, compliance research, pricing strategy, and the customer support processes behind every shipped unit.

Team & cross-functional execution.

Lead 11 people across product, operations, sales, marketing, customer support, software, and partner execution — keeping a small team moving on more surface area than a small team usually can.

Before PlumBuddy

The chapters that built the founder.

Two roles, hundreds of projects, a lot of jobsites. The reason PlumBuddy exists — and the reason it ships products people in the trade actually want to install.

Off the clock

What I like to do.

Outside of building the company, I build other things. Most of them have one foot in the trade and one foot in design.

Let's talk

Hiring an operator?
Building something that needs both.

I'm based in San Diego and open to conversations about leadership, advisory, and partnership opportunities — particularly where hardware, software, and physical operations meet.
